A BRAVE Bundoran surfer tackled some of the biggest waves ever ridden in Ireland yesterday.
Conor Maguire, an elite Irish surfer with Red Bull Ireland, took to the daunting waters at Mullaghmore.
The remnants of Hurricane Epsilon saw stomach-churning waves of 60 feet off the coast.
Maguire took it as an opportunity and, accompanied by both a safety team and a film crew from Red Bull, he headed for a unique experience.
“It was pretty special to see it that size, it’s pretty rare,” he said.
“There are only a handful of days like this one in your whole life pretty much so to experience that today was pretty special.”
