A man has appeared in Co Donegal charged with rape.
The man, who is in his 20s, appeared at Letterkenny District Court.
Garda Sgt Jim Collins said he served the man with a book of evidence in the case.
The man was release don his own bail on a number of court conditions including that he sign on at Letterkenny Garda station once a week.
The court was told that the Director of Public Prosecutions has consented to send the man forward for trial to the current sitting of the Central Criminal Court in Dublin.
The man, who wore a blue jacket and blue jeans, did not speak during the brief court appearance.
