A BENCH warrant has been issued for the sentence of a Convoy woman charged with a number of driving offences.
The case of Sarah Louise Gavigan (31) of Ard Tumaire, Townparks, Convoy was before Letterkenny District Court.
Gardaí were conducting a checkpoint at Ballindrait at 12.17pm on May 17, 2019 when they stopped a black Toyota being driven by Gavigan.
Sergeant Gerard Dalton told the court that the defendant had a provisional English licence and ‘wasn’t sure’ if she was insurance.
Gavigan was charged with having no insurance, driving without a licence, failing to produce a licence, failing to produce insurance and driving on a provisional licence/permit without an accompanying fully-licensed driver.
A fixed charge penalty notice was unpaid.
Gavigan was not present in court and Judge Paul Kelly issued a bench warrant for sentencing.
