The Letterkenny community has been saddened by the death of local businessman Clement Harvey.
Mr Harvey passed away at his home in Drumnahoe Letterkenny on Sunday.
As the former owner of the Denim Corner boutique in the Courtyard Shopping Centre, he was a key member of the Letterkenny business community and was a friendly face to many.
Tributes have been paid to Mr Harvey from former colleagues, staff, neighbours and friends.
He has been remembered as a much-respected businessman, a local volunteer and a true gentleman, who always had time to stop for a chat and had a smile and friendly wave for anyone he knew.
Above all, Mr Harvey was a family man and condolences have been expressed to his loving wife Bridget, sons and daughters and extended family.
The Letterkenny Chamber shared a tribute to Mr Harvey and said: “It was with sadness we heard this morning about the passing of Clem Harvey, a business man and gentleman in the truest sense of the word. My memory of Clem was a smile and friendly chat any time we met. Our sympathies and thoughts are with his wife Bridget and family at this sad time. May he rest in peace.”

Deeply missed by loving wife Bridget and family Siobhan Hannigan, Drumerdagh, Fiona Creagh, Drumerdagh, Ciarán, Coolboy, Breda McClintock, Drumerdagh, Sammy, Drumnahoe and Maria O’Doherty, Drumnahoe, sisters Mary Fisher, Drumkeen and Ann Toner, Drumkeen, brother Noel, Cornagill, Golf Course Road, grand-children, sons-in-law Michael Hannigan, Barry Creagh, Marcus McClintock, James O’Doherty and daughter-in-law Debra, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family and friends.
Funeral leaving Clement’s late residence on Tuesday 13th October 2020 at 10.30am going to the Church of the Irish Martyrs for 11am Funeral Mass which can be viewed live on https://www.facebook.com/irishmartyrs/. Interment afterwards, with funeral cortege travelling via Letterkenny Main Street, to New Leck Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers if desired, to the Society of the St. Vincent de Paul c/o any family member.
