Donegal now has the highest incidence rate of Covid in the entire country.
The 14-day incidence rate for Covid-19 in Co Donegal has overtaken the rate in Dublin and is now at 148.2 cases per 100,000 people.
It comes as the acting Chief Medical Officer and his Northern Ireland counterpart made an appeal to people to try reduce travel between Co Donegal and Northern Ireland.
The Government last night announced that Donegal was moving to Level 3 of the Living with Covid framework, with additional restrictions to come into effect from midnight tonight (Fri).
Dublin has the second highest 14-day incidence rate in the country, and is currently at 144.5 cases per 100,000.
The next highest incidence is in Louth, which has a rate of 107.8 per 100,000.
Waterford is at 86.9, Wicklow is at 74.4, Kildare at 72.8 and Roscommon is at 62 per 100,000.
In the Stranorlar/Lifford electoral area of Co Donegal the incidence rate of 336 cases per 100,000 of the population remains the highest in the country.
42 of the 324 new cases of Covid-19 notified to the Department of Health yesterday were in Donegal.
Derry and Strabane have the highest rates of the virus in Northern Ireland.
