Listen: Devastated St Eunan’s manager Thornton feels officiating cost his team against Naomh Conaill
St Eunan’s were within a whisker of toppling reigning Donegal SFC holders Naomh Conaill this afternoon in a semi-final that got better the longer it went on.
The first half was a stagnant affair, with it 0-3 to 0-3 at the break. Afterwards, things evolved and it ended up with Ciaran Thompson kicking an 81st minute winner for Naomh Conaill.
However, St Eunan’s feel a couple huge decisions went against them – firstly a Rory Kavanagh ‘point’ that was waved wide and then Leo McLoone’s goal in extra-time that brought Naomh Conaill back on terms.
