Do you think you have what it takes to become a fire-fighter?

Donegal County Council is seeking people to become retained part-time fire-fighters in a number of towns across the county.

The towns include Buncrana, Letterkenny, Killybegs and Carndonagh.

The council plans to form a panel of qualified candidates from which it will fill vacancies as they arise.

All applicants must live and work a maximum distance of 2.5kms from each of the respective fire stations.

However, in the case of Killybegs, if there are not enough suitable candidates then the Chief Fire Officer can extend this limit to 3kms.

The closing date for applications forms is noon on Monday, September 21st.

Application forms and further details can be obtained by logging onto www.donegalcoco.ie
