Donegal Gardaí have issued a warning for people to be aware of the latest email scams doing the rounds.
They shared two emails on Facebook to show people what to be on the lookout for.
“The following two emails are fraudulent and the only objective is to get access to your personal and financial information,” Gardaí say.
Both emails, purporting to be from Netflix and Amazon, ask the recipient to update their billing information.
Netflix says they will never ask for your personal information, such as card numbers, bank details, or passwords by text or email.
Similarly, Amazon will never send you an unsolicited message that asks you to provide sensitive personal information, bank details, or ID questions like your mother’s maiden name or your password.
Amazon also advises against opening any attachments or clicking any links from suspicious emails or text messages.
