A man is recovering in hospital after he was stabbed in Inishowen yesterday.
The man, who is in his 50s, was attacked in Greencastle around 5pm.
Gardai attended the scene and the injured man was later admitted to Letterkenny University Hospital.
It is not known if any arrests were made.
The man’s injuries are not understood to be serious.
A Garda spokesperson confirmed to Donegal Daily “Gardaí are investigating an incident of assault which occurred in Greencastle, Moville yesterday evening, Friday 28th August 2020 shortly before 5pm.
“A male, aged in his, 50s, received non-serious injuries as a result of the incident. Investigations are continuing.”
