The race to succeed St Naul’s as Donegal IFC is gathering pace with the field trimmed now from 12 to eight with the quarter-final and relegation play-off pairings confirmed.
The top four sides receive home draws against the teams between fifth and eighth, with first playing eighth, second against seventh, third taking on sixth and fourth welcoming fifth.
Therefore, the quarter-finals will be:
- Buncrana v Gaeil Fhanada
- Naomh Columba v Malin
- Cloughaneely v Red Hugh’s
- Aodh Ruadh v Naomh Muire
In the relegation play-offs, it’s Naomh Brid v Naomh Ultan and then a derby meeting of Naomh Colmcille and Burt.
The matches will take place on the first weekend in September.
