A DONEGAL man has appeared in court after allegedly breaching a safety order.
The accused, who cannot be named, was charged with contravening the safety order on August 8, 2020.
It is alleged that the 54-year-old man kicked the door of a premises.
The man was brought to Letterkenny District court by prison officers having been held in custody since the incident.
The court heard that there was an issue as to his residence.
The man provided an address to the court, at which he is to reside. Judge Deirdre Gearty granted bail on the accused’s own bond of €100 and directed that the accused reside at the address provided, that he not commit any offence and be of good behaviour, that he not contact any witness or alleged injured party and that he stay of sober habits.
The man said he had lost his mobile phone. Judge Gearty said that, should he get one, he is to be available for contact.
Judge Gearty ordered the accused to stay out of the town in which the offence is alleged to have occurred.
The case was adjourned to September 14.
