Danny Devlin was the hero for Naomh Muire as they continued their excellent start in the Donegal IFC on Friday night .
Naomh Muire 2-11 Naomh Colmcille 0-10
Devlin kicked a personal total of 1-6 in the seven-point win which means a third win from three following successes over both Naomh Ultan and Red Hugh’s – all this despite four black cards for the team from the Banks!
Ultan Boyle went on a fine run for the first goal, with the ball ending up in the visitors’ net having rebounded in off a defender, so the home team were 1-8 to 0-6 up at half-time.
The result means Naomh Muire are assured of a quarter-final place, while Joe Donaghy’s Naomh Colmcille have one win under their belt. That came on the opening weekend against Naomh Ultan, before a loss to Malin.
