Road onto Rossnowlagh beach to close for two weeks

The beach access road to Rossnowlagh will be temporarily closed from Monday for two weeks of roadworks.

Donegal County Council plans to carry out necessary upgrade works to repair recent storm damage.

The road closure will begin below the Smugglers Creek Inn.

Works are scheduled to take place from Monday 17th August for a period of two weeks.

“The contractor will try and facilitate, as much as possible, for safe pedestrian access at weekends during this period,” a notice from Donegal County Council said.

“We appreciate the patience of the public for this necessary interference to access.”
