A female walker was airlifted to hospital yesterday evening after sustaining a lower leg injury on Errigal mountain.
Donegal Mountain Rescue Team (DMRT) received the call-out at 8pm yesterday evening.
The Rescue 118 helicopter airlifted the casualty to hospital, and the remainder of the casualty’s group was escorted off the mountain by DMRT.
The team stood down at 11pm.
A spokesperson for DMRT says: “Big thanks to the crew of Rescue 118 for their assistance.”
