A man has appeared in court charged with the defilement of three females under the Criminal Law Sexual Offenses Act.
The man, who cannot be named, was arrested at an address in Letterkenny and brought before Letterkenny District Court today.
Garda Sgt Rory Harrison gave evidence of arresting the man who made no reply when all six charges were put to him.
Sgt Harrison said he had no objection to bail provided a number of conditions were agreed with.
They include that the man give an address to Gardai, that he surrender his passport, that he be of good behaviour, sign on four times each week at Letterkenny Garda station and that he is not to contact any of the females in the case.
The man, who is in his 20s and unemployed, agreed to the conditions.
Sgt Harrison said his application was for an adjournment to allow for a book of evidence to be prepared.
Judge Deirdre Geraghty adjourned the case until September 27th next.
