NAOMH Conaill have confirmed that a Covid-19 test on a club member has returned negative.
The news means that Naomh Conaill can return to play.
Naomh Conaill – the defending Donegal senior champions – temporarily suspended club activity on Tuesday, pending the test result.
Naomh Conaill begin the defence of their Donegal SFC crown on Saturday as they take on Milford at Davy Brennan Memorial Park.
A brief statement this morning said: “The Naomh Conaill club have been informed that the Covid-19 test results have returned a negative outcome.
“The club will be returning to play forthwith in full compliance of the GAA & HSE guidelines.”
Naomh Conaill are the third Donegal club to take such a measure in the last couple of weeks.
Naomh Colmcille temporarily suspended activity as a precaution having played Derry club Glack in a challenge game. Naomh Colmcille subsequently did not field in a League encounter away to Gaeil Fhánada.
At the weekend, Cloughaneely did likewise after a member reported positive symptoms in a questionnaire.
Cloughaneely’s Regional League game against St Michael’s was rescheduled from Saturday to Sunday after a test returned a negative result.
