Harvey’s Point hotel in Donegal is celebrating being named the best hotel in Ireland for 2020.
The luxurious lakeside hotel has once again topped the TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Awards. Harvey’s was also ranked as Ireland’s Most Romantic Hotel and will gain extra international recognition as the 12th best in Europe.
In the year of domestic tourism, the achievement puts Donegal in the spotlight as the destination for top-class hospitality.
A message from the Harvey’s Point team last night shared their delight with the amazing accolades and said: “We are honored to be in the company of so many fabulous hotels.
“A heartfelt thanks to our many guests who wrote so favorably of their experiences at Harvey’s Point.”

Now owned by Austrian investor Thomas Roeggla, the hotel has entered a new era under General Manager Niall Coffey and is undergoing major investment.
The Shandon Hotel in Portnablagh has also won a coveted TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Award for 2020. The hotel, which boasts stunning seaside views, was ranked at No. 22 in the list of top hotels in Ireland.
