TWO more Covid-19 related deaths have been notified to health officials in the Republic of Ireland.
Figures released this evening by the Department of Health show two additional deaths and 14 new cases.
Ireland’s death toll from the coronavirus now stands at 1,748.
The 14 further cases mean that there have been 25,683 infections since the outbreak.
Dr. Ronan Glynn, Acting Chief Medical Officer, Department of Health, said: “The National Public Health Emergency Team met yesterday and will meet again on Thursday to review Ireland’s ongoing response and preparedness to Covid-19.
“We are at a sensitive stage in the pandemic – this requires caution and collective effort to hold firm and keep the virus suppressed in the community. Continue to follow public health advice.”
None of the new cases are in Donegal, where the cumulative total remains at 468.
