Thousands of homes without water following major burst

Thousands of homes and businesses across Inishowen are again without water following another burst.

The burst happened in Buncrana but has cut off supplies to a number of areas including Burt, Burnfoot, Bridgend and Newtowncunningham.

Irish Water engineers have arrived in the area and have commenced repair work.

However, it is expected that households in many areas will be without water supply for most of the day.
