A FURTHER five Covid-19 related deaths have been confirmed in the Republic of Ireland.
The deaths, announced this evening by the Department of Health, brings the country’s death toll to 1,664.
Another 38 cases of the coronavirus have been detected.
Since the outbreak, there have now been 25,142 infections.
The median age of cases so far is 48, with a split of 57 per cent female, and 43 per cent male.
