THE Minister for Health, Simon Harris, has urged the Irish public not to get ahead of themselves with regard to the easing of Covid-19 restrictions.
The first week of the first phase of the lifting of Ireland’s lockdown is not yet completed and, while the Minister acknowledged that, so far, things have been smooth, he warned people not to jump the gun.
The Health Minister said that the measures would not be in place longer than they ought to be and noted that moving through the phases was entirely dependent on the progress made in phase one.
Since the outbreak. 1,604 people have lost their lives from Covid-19 while there have been 24,582 positive cases.
