Breaking: Emergency services and locals battling large gorse fire

FIRE crews and locals are battling a gorse fire that has broken out in the Ranafast area this afternoon.

The fire broke out in the last hour.

There are a number of houses in close proximity and strong winds are driving the blaze inland.

Emergency services, aided by a team of local people, are battling to bring the fire under control.
