A MOTORIST traveling from County Down to Bundoran was arrested for drug-driving last night.
Gardaí operating a Covid-19 checkpoint on the N14 Lifford-Letterkenny Road stopped a vehicle.
The driver, who was trailing from Down and intending to make a journey to Bundoran, had taken a wrong turn.
The driver tested positive for opiates and cannabis.
Gardaí said: “The driver was arrested for the offence of drug driving and was reminded about the restrictions in relation to essential travel.”
Court proceedings will follow.
