A schoolgirl received a one-of-a-kind birthday present today thanks to a special video from 19 local celebrities.
Bethany McGuigan’s 12th birthday, like many children, is an unusual one this year due to Covid-19.
This was Bethany’s first birthday without a family party, but her mum Cathy had planned a star-studded surprise instead.

Cathy Gallagher, originally from ‘The Burma’ in Letterkenny and now living in Derry, organised a video with 19 well-known personalities wishing Bethany a big happy birthday.

Plus, Bethany was treated to a ‘birthday drive thru’ from some friends and she enjoyed a video call with her Letterkenny grandparents, Eileen and Josie Gallagher, and her cousins.
