Castle Grove Country House are offering a sweet dessert this weekend with an extra helping of charity.
The award-winning hotel outside Letterkenny recently launched a ‘Weekend Treats Menu’ for takeaway orders during Covid-19.
The initiative has been so well supported by their loyal customers that the Sweeney family now want to do something to give back.
This Bank Holiday weekend, they have been inspired by a news article on Donegal Daily to add an extra special item to their menu – a Walled Garden Rhubarb and Apple Tart. All proceeds from the sale of the tarts, which are €8 each, will be donated directly to Donegal Hospice.
The Hospice, which is very dear to the hearts of the Sweeney family, is in need of extra support this year due to the cancellation of their biggest fundraisers: www.donegaldaily.com/2020/04/27/donegal-hospice-in-need-of-support-now-more-than-ever
The Castle Grove Charity Treat is a win-win for everyone – customers enjoy a delicious homemade tart while supporting the vital services of the Hospice.
So, if you’re making a phone or Facebook order this weekend, why not treat yourself! For menus and ordering information, check out the Castle Grove Facebook page: www.facebook.com/castlegrove1695 or call 074-9151118. The Bank Holiday Weekend Treats menu will be shared on Wednesday morning and orders can be placed afterwards.
