MOTORISTS are to be given rebates from their insurance premiums from two of Ireland’s major insurance companies.
Liberty Insurance and Axa are to roll out rebates in the coming weeks.
Liberty Insurance customers will receive 15 per cent of their existing premium for two months – provided it reaches a minimum amount of €10.
Customers have to request rebates, beginning on June 8, via the insurer’s website.
Customers will have the option of directly claiming the premium rebate through a ‘cash equivalent voucher’ or they can request that Liberty donate it to a charity working on the front-line.”
Axa has not announced how it will operate its system, but the company says it is putting together a rebate or refund package that will be worth approximately €30 per customer on average.
