The Donegal Sexual Abuse & Rape Crisis Centre (DSARCC) have devised an online self-help resource pack for members of the public and clients to access.
The self-help pack can be accessed via the DSARCC Facebook page or by emailing info@donegalrapecrisis.ie
The pack contains useful guidance surrounding – managing your self-care, COVID-19, children and young people and much more.
Although the DSARCC premises are closed due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, the staff and counsellors remain available to offer counselling support to survivors of rape and sexual abuse of all genders and gender identities aged 14+, from Donegal and surrounding counties including cross border in a confidential and safe way.
Marina Porter, Manager, said “Our staff are working remotely from home, supporting our clients over the phone or online, by whatever means is best for individuals. Our helpline remains open for any person who wishes to call for information, support or guidance.
“We fully welcome the ‘still-here’ campaign, spearheaded by the Department of Justice & Equality, this campaign emphasises that support services for domestic and sexual violence are ‘still here’ during the COVID-19 crisis’.

- SATU Psychological Support Volunteer – Telephone Support available

The National 24-hr helpline is also available for confidential listening support to any person who has been raped, sexually assaulted, sexually harassed or sexually abused at any time in their lives. They can also give you contact details for your local Rape Crisis Centre.
