DONEGAL Gardaí last night arrested another motorist for drug-driving.
The Buncrana Roads Policing Unit arrested the drug-driver while carrying out a Covid-19 checkpoint.
The motorist tested positive for cannabis and was subsequently arrested.
Court proceedings will now follow.
The latest offence comes after Gardaí in the county expressed concern with the high volume of offences during the Covid-19 restrictions.
In the week prior to yesterday morning, 13 arrested for drink and drug driving were made in Donegal. Eight people had been arrested for drink driving with five arrested for drug driving.
