Donegal Daily is celebrating a month of poetry with the #WeAreThePoetsDonegal series, in association with Poetry Ireland.
Throughout April, we will share daily poetry by established writers from across the county.
This series invites you to take a moment to read, enjoy or share poetry in the lead up to Poetry Day Ireland on Thursday 30 April 2020.
Today’s featured poet is Nick Griffiths
About the poet:
A resident of Donegal for 22 years, Nick Griffiths is a Brummy married to a Ramelton woman. Proud of both his Birmingham roots and his adopted county he is a regular reader at North West Words, where he is also a member of the organising team. His poems at NWW are generally humorous , but his overall output has a wide range: from cynical to romantic; serious to ludicrous and reassuring to shocking. A house shared with his wife, 5 cats and a neurotic dog give him plenty of inspiration.
