A DONEGAL woman has enlisted the help of family, friends and local businesses to put together over 100 ‘care packs’ that will be distributed to some key workers this week.
Kate Douglas has had to close La Vie Beauty and Skincare in Dungloe due to the Covid-19 lockdown measures, but wanted to put something back to those working at the front line.

The packs will be given to a mixture of hospital staff, chemist staff and carers.
Vouchers from the likes of Honeypot Coffee House in Letterkenny, Harbour Road Gift Shop in Gweedore will be included, while a variety of items have been donated.
Kate posted on social media asking for children to submit homemade ‘thank you’ pictures.
“Children from all over the world, from here in Ireland to Australia, Germany, France and the UK have sent in pictures, which we will include in the packs,” Kate told Donegal Daily.
“The reason I decided to do these packs is because when I closed down the salon I felt I wanted to help in some way.
“I put a post up on social media asking for people to nominate people who are helping during this time, but then when it came to picking I just couldn’t pick certain people as I felt everyone was worthy
“With the help of many people, I am now able to provide every single person that was nominated a care pack. I have been very lucky to have had all the vouchers and gifts donated to make up the packs.”
Moya Douglas and Mary Murtagh are providing homemade scone bread and jams that will go out along with their care packs; La Vie beauty in Dungloe have donated products and vouchers; Audrey McFadden has sent in some sweet treats, hot chocolate and coffee; Helen Farrell of Freshair Mobile Hairdressing has donated vouchers;Harbour Road Gift Shop in Gweedore have sent over coffee vouchers, gifts and toiletries; Honeypot Coffee House Letterkenny submitted lunch vouchers for a lunch; Sinead Duffy has sent over herbal teas and gifts, while products have also come in from Thalgo Ireland Skincare and NutraTea.
