A group of volunteers have made an incredible 2,000 face-shields for use in the frontline in the fight against Covid-19 in Donegal.
Michael McMenamin, Garry Gorman and their team have raised more than €13,000 to fund the production of the shields.
And now they have raised their target to €20,000 in a bid to make hundreds more of the life-saving shields.
The team partnered with Sign Worx in Convoy to make the shields which are being distributed to nurses, doctors, home-helps and many more on the frontline.
Although it has been difficult to source the materials needed to make the shields, the group developed a shield that can be produced in large numbers relatively quickly.
Now they are appealing for YOUR help.
The group have a Go Fund Me Page and the message is simple – the public donates the cash and they make the shields to save lives.
It’s as simple as that. No inspirational stories about why they are doing it. The group are not looking for thanks or slaps on the back.
They are looking for donations which can be made by linking onto https://www.gofundme.com/f/frontline-faceshields?utm_source=whatsapp-visit&utm_medium=chat&utm_campaign=p_cp+share-sheet&fbclid=IwAR3Lhm-xaVkhd6pvGwUHkx0U-nS2BNlne9m3GDYSamZ-bfGWWSdmpJSDOMA
Please do it now and help to save a life in Donegal.
