IRELAND’S Chief Medical Officer, Dr Tony Holohan, has been admitted to hospital for non-Covid-19 related tests.
Dr Holohan has been to the forefront in Ireland’s fight agains the spread of coronavirus.
Dr Holohan has held daily press briefings to discuss the number of confirmed cases and deaths relating to the virus.
His place will be taken by his deputy, Dr Ronan Glynn, with Dr Holohan telling RTÉ that he expects to be released tomorrow.
