A local supermarket has launched an outdoor drive-thru for shoppers to pick up essentials while social distancing.
Kelly’s Centra at Mountain Top Letterkenny has introduced the daily service as part of its safety measures during the Covid-19 outbreak.
Shoppers can now get their groceries by calling in an order and collecting it from the car park at their collection time.
Staff will drop the bags into the car boot and payments are made by card to reduce any contact.
The Kelly’s Centra overflow car park has been converted into a collection depot with numbered zones for customers to park at their designated time.
Store owner Mairtin Kelly said the new service has been welcomed as a great option for healthcare staff and essential service workers in local factories.
“With people still working in essential services like Phillips-Medisize, Zeus and our frontline staff, this Tick and Collect service offers and really fast and convenient way of collecting shopping after work,” Mr Kelly said.
The service is available seven days a week from 9am until 5pm. To order, call 0749122026.
Note: The phone lines can be busy so if you are on Facebook just take a picture of your order list and private message it to Kellys Centra Mountain Top and they will ring you back for payment
The store also remains open, while social distancing measures and limited numbers are in place for customer safety.
Meanwhile, Kelly’s Centra is continuing to provide home deliveries for the local area. Deliveries are available Monday to Friday from 11am-5pm and Saturday 12-3pm. For orders, contact the store on 0749122026 or message on Facebook: Kellys Centra Mountain Top
At this uncertain time, Kelly’s Centra customers are being reassured that stock is in full supply and deliveries of fresh and grocery products are still coming in daily.
