A Letterkenny-based dance studio is providing free dance classes to help members break up the day in an active way at home.
Pinehill Studios at Mountain Top have postponed all classes until 29th March due to the COVID-19 outbreak – but that hasn’t stopped young dancers keeping up with their practising at home.
The virtual hip hop classes from Pinehill Studios are already brightening up living rooms around the country.
“During this time of uncertainty we have decided that we want to do all we can to keep the children active and happy while staying at home. Parents will be spending some time doing school work with their children daily so this is a great way to break their day up with something fun. We are going to miss seeing all our students and we know they will miss their dance classes so setting up our virtual dance class gives us all a little sense of connection,” said Sarah-Marie McDevitt, owner of Pinehill Studios.
Sarah-Marie added: “The complimentary virtual dance classes have been added to our class booking system for all registered students.
“Let’s keep our children happy, calm and relatively routined in a time that is potentially quite worrying for many of us.
“We would like to encourage them to stay active as much as possible.”
