CONOR Friel hit the dramatic late equaliser for Raphoe Town to stall Swilly Rovers’ Division Two title party.
The game was well over the 90-minute mark when Friel latched onto Oliver Quinn’s cross, which caught out Swilly goalkeeper Dane Dunworth.
Friel crashed home at the back post to earn Raphoe a 2-2 draw – a result that denied Swilly the silverware.
Marty McDaid’s brace had Swilly on the cusp of the title. So late was Friel’s equaliser, Donegal League official Terry Leyden was on hand for the trophy presentation, but Swilly must now wait.
