Finn Valley College recently welcomed over 200 fifth class pupils, their teachers and SNAs from the Finn Valley area to their school for an exciting two-day enterprise event.
The event was organised as part of a great collaboration between Finn Valley College and the LYIT Computing Department to offer pupils workshops on app design, robotics and enterprise.
Nigel Mc Kelvey, Maria Griffin and Kevin Meehan from LYIT delivered workshops to the pupils and will visit primary schools this week to judge their innovative ideas.
5th Class pupils also enjoyed an enterprise class, a little dance and some fun interactive games delivered by Finn Valley College’s teachers while PLC business students acted as mentors to the pupils over the two-day event.
As a follow up to the enterprise event students are busy working on their app projects that are being presented to a panel of judges this week, watch this space for the winners!
Finn Valley College wishes to thank the LYIT team and all participating national schools: Dooish, Glencovitt, Scoil Bhride, St Safans, Sessiaghoneill, St. Mary’s Stranorlar, St.Patrick’s Drumkeen, Gleneely NS, St. Mary’s Castlefinn.
