THERE were emotional scenes at the Hospital Field yesterday as Donegal Town Reserves clinched the Glencar Inn Saturday League Division One title.
Donegal Town Reserves 3 Glenea United Reserves 2
James Kerrigan scored twice after an early Barry Mulligan goal to put them three-nil up by the 18th minute.
Glenea hit back with goals either side of the break.
Donegal Town, though, held on.
Captain Ted Bustard accepted the trophy from Donegal League Treasurer Declan Sherlock.
There were tears of all sorts shed at the end as Donegal Town remembered their former manager Rory Dunleavy.
Last July, Dunleavy died suddenly aged 45 and he was toasted afterwards as a sign with “The Gaffer” emblazoned took centre stage.
