OLLIE Horgan says Finn Harps are entering ‘the two toughest games of the season’.
Champions Dundalk are at Finn Park on Friday night before in-form Shamrock Rovers host Harps on Friday-week in Tallaght.
Horgan’s team have taken four points from their opening three games. On Friday, they were unfortunate to go down 1-0 to Cork City, but Horgan is well aware of the size of the task this week.
“We’re going into the two toughest games of the season,” the Harps manager told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.
“We got four points out of nine; when we get to the 15-point mark, how many points will we have? We have Dundalk, the champions, at home and away to Shamrock Rovers? Which is worse?”
Shaun Kelly, the Killybegs man who penned a deal with Harps in pre-season, got a cortisone injection last night in a bid to kick-start his season.
On his squad, Horgan said: “It’ll take us a long while for us to get to the potential of what we have in there.
We have a new side and the players are buying into it. we ned the supporters to back us and we ask them, as always, to be patient.”
