SHAUN Paul Barrett was proud of his Donegal Under-20s as they scraped past Down to reach the Ulster final.
Aaron Doherty’s goal helped propel Donegal into the final after another big battle.
After a penalty shoot-out win over Monaghan last week and a narrow 1-11 to 0-12 win over Down at The Loup, Donegal will now face Tyrone in the final.
“We’re very proud of them,” Barrett told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.
“It was a team performance. They showed great heart and determination.
“Down are a fabulous side and will always give it everything. When we got ahead, we wanted to retain the lead – and we did.
“They have huge character.”
