Gardaí in Donegal have issued a warning over a scam text message which is targetting local people this week.
The text, claiming to be from Bank of Ireland 365 Online, tells the recipient that their account has been suspected due to incorrect login attempts.
The text contains a link and directs the receiver to click on the link to reactivate their account.
However, this is a fraudulent message and gardaí are urging people not to click on the links.
The advice is to ignore the message.
Gardaí said: “Do not click on the link contained within the message. Just hit delete! If you have any queries in relation to your bank account always contact your bank directly by phone or in person.”
