DONEGAL athlete Ed McGroarty set a new Irish record on his way to a second-place finish at a 24-hour endurance race in Finland.
The Raphoe man completed the Espoo 24-hour endurance race this morning.
McGroarty competes for Lifford-Strabane AC and his official distance was 249.761km.
The distance was an international A standard and also a new Irish record. The previous Irish record of 248.436 was set by Eoin Keith.
