A DONEGAL juvenile has appeared has appeared in court on a spate of burglary charges.
The juvenile, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was before the latest sitting of Letterkenny District Court.
Charges arising out of alleged incidents on July 4, 2019 and July 9, 2019 were brought before Judge Paul Kelly.
The court heard that the juvenile is charged with the theft of €1,000 in cash from a business premises in Letterkenny and €70 from another.
Garda witness said the juvenile, who was 13 at the time of the alleged incidents, made no reply to most charges.
To one of the charges, Garda outlined, the accused said: “I didn’t do it. That’s a fact.”
A number of other matters, relating to similar charges of alleged theft from a number of premises, have been forwarded by the DPP to the Circuit Court.
The case is due before the February 24 sitting of Letterkenny District Court, when the juvenile is to appear via video link.
