MET Éireann has issued a Status Orange wind warning for Donegal.
The warning was released by Met Éireann this afternoon and is in place for 10am until 10pm on Sunday.
Southwest winds with mean speeds of 60 to 80 km/h with severe gusts of up to 120km/h, are being forecast.
The winds will be strongest on exposed hills and coasts, with a risk of coastal flooding.
The warning covers counties Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo, Clare, Cork, Kerry and Limerick.
A status yellow rainfall warning remains in place across Ireland this afternoon.
Spells of heavy, locally thundery rain will lead to flooding in places.
