A leading Donegal company is continuing its expansion and is seeking to employ both a HR Manager and a Process Engineering Manager.
RA Pacáistí Teo (RAP) is seeking to employ a Human Resource Manager and a Process Engineering Manager for their facility in Gaoth Dobhair.
These are two full time positions, with competitive salaries based on qualifications and experience.
RA Pacáistí Teo is a growing company employing over 200 people and is one of the largest employers in North West Donegal.
RAP recently invested €6 million into a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility allowing them to continue producing ground-breaking packaging systems.
According to John McDermott, Director ‘RA Pacáistí Teo has two new positions to fill immediately and are also looking to recruit a number of Machine Operators over the coming months.

HR MANAGER
JOB DESCRIPTION
DEPARTMENT: Manufacturing
REPORTING TO: Operations Manager
RESPONSIBLE FOR: HR Administrator, Receptionist & Housekeeping Assistants
MAIN PURPOSE: To develop and implement HR strategies in line with legislative requirements, best practice and overall business objectives. These strategies will maximise our business performance through the recruitment and retention of critical skills, while developing the abilities of all employees.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring that all H & S requirements and procedures are adhered to, including the reporting and resolution of all incidents or accidents.
Ensure that HR Systems and Policies are appropriately developed, communicated and maintained across all departments in line with current legislation, best practice and business objectives.
Establish strong working relationships with all departments ensuring a cohesive approach to establishing a recognised set of corporate values which deliver the highest standards of equality and respect.
Ensure appropriate procedures are in place to deal effectively with all areas of Employee Relations & Employment Law, utilising the services of our external HR business partners (Peninsula Business Services).
Establish a robust program of recruitment & selection which secures the candidate most capable of delivering mutual success to the individual and the organisation.
Develop Training initiatives and programmes which support the introduction of new employees and the development of those taking on new responsibilities. These initiatives and programs must ensure new incumbents have a positive initiation which will provide the basis for a highly skilled workforce, capable of meeting operational needs
Establish the most up to date and appropriate systems for management of time and attendance, holidays and absence management, along with the processes and strategies for dealing with anomalies in this regard.
Establish monitoring systems that capture the most up to date information on compensation and benefits packages for all levels in the organisation, identifying the appropriateness of implementation and proposals for impact of same.
Establish the necessary channels to provide feedback on the mood of the organisation, identifying potential issues and providing proposals for resolution for such opportunity before it becomes reality.
Establish and implement the most up to date systems of record keeping, providing comprehensive detail of all aspects of an individual’s employment, bearing in mind all legislative controls regarding the management of such information.

Requirements
• 3+ Years’ experience in HR functional role
• Formal 3rd Level qualification in HR discipline
• Up to date knowledge of legislation governing Employment Law
• Proven ability to design and implement comprehensive training programmes
• Strong communications ability at all levels on the broad spectrum of HR responsibilities
• Ability to set meaningful and progressive objectives for the HR function
PROCESS ENGINEERING MANAGER
DEPARTMENT: Operations
REPORTING TO: Operations Manager
RESPONSIBLE FOR: Project Teams
MAIN PURPOSE: Working closely with the Operations Manager and Maintenance Manager the Process Engineering Manager is responsible for coordination and delivery of all strategic and Project based process Engineering activity.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring that all H & S requirements and procedures are adhered to, including the reporting and resolution of all incidents or accidents and the correct use of specified PPE.
Establish and Maintain strong working relationships with all departments ensuring that all process Engineering activity is carried out in a planned and coordinated way, such that Site objectives are not adversely affected.
Provide the necessary process Engineering direction to Capital Projects,
Act as the point of contact between RAP Irl and Equipment Manufacturers, Suppliers, Contractors and Internal Functions regarding the initiation, progress and conclusion of process Engineering projects and their impact on Operations.
Provide Process Engineering input and experience to Production, Maintenance and Quality Managers, regarding recurring Process Issues, Customer Complaints and any other performance detractors to enable their ultimate resolution
Provide knowledge, advice and hands on assistance to the Maintenance Manager in the event of a critical failure in Production Equipment
Ensure that the budget assigned to the role and specific projects is managed according to the requirements of the Finance Department and achieving the best value on investments.
Manage the work, schedule and timelines of those involved in specific project activit ensuring that all projects are delivered in line with (or better than) the Return On Investment identified in the project objectives.
