DONEGAL’S Big Debate proved a huge hit among viewers and voters last night.

Thousands tuned in online to the live broadcast of two debates, which were played out before a live audience of almost 200 at Letterkenny Institute of Technology.

Ten of the 13 candidates standing in the Donegal constituency in the February 8 General Election took part in the debates.

Independent candidates Arthur McGuinness, John O’Donnell and Thomas Pringle did not take part, citing prior engagements for their absence. 

MC for the debates, Charlie Collins, kept a lively debate running between the candidates and there was huge engagement across our social media platforms.
