The countdown is on for the 2020 Letterkenny Pantomime – and it’s going to be one super show as they celebrate their 70th birthday.
The 2020 show is Cinderella – a nod to the very first pantomime staged in the town back in 1950.
This year’s Cinderella will be in the new venue of the Aura Leisure Centre Letterkenny from Wednesday 22nd to Sunday 26th January.
Audience members are in for some exciting surprises, but the cast is keeping those details closely under wraps!
Cinderella 2020 is shaping up to be an amazing show with fabulous local actors mixed in with new faces from Kerrykeel to Falcarragh among others.
Kerrykeel teacher Anna Jane Kingston is the leading lady Cinderella, while Gortahork’s Conor Mangan is the dashing Prince Charming.
Other cast members include Daithi Doherty, Tina Garry, Martina McClafferty, James Patton, Adele Evans and Garry Coll – backed up by a 60-strong chorus. Up to 100 future stars will make up the children’s chorus, who are all set for their big moment in the spotlight.
Plus, local panto fans can look forward to seeing the familiar faces Collie O’Donnell and Andy McGranaghan as the Ugly Stepsisters – as you’ve never seen them before!
The team is putting the finishing touches on the fine details now and the audience is in for lots of treats, with top quality musical direction by Paul Ward & The Humble Earthworm and outstanding choreography by Fusion – Events & Opportunities.
Magical pumpkins and glass slippers aside, the real magic of the Letterkenny Pantomime lies in the benefits it brings to the local community. Each night is hosted by local community groups who will share a portion of the ticket proceeds and hold a fundraising raffle on the night of the show.
So why not pick up a ticket, join the celebrations and enjoy a great night of music, laughter and entertainment.
Tickets for Cinderella (22nd – 26th January) are out now – available from the Aura Leisure Centre and host groups (details below). For more, visit www.facebook.com/letterkenny.pantomime
