It’s the end of an era for foodie fans of The House Gastro Pub as the Donegal Town restaurant announced this evening that it is to close.
This weekend will be the last time that diners can visit the popular restaurant on The Diamond.
The House Gastro Pub opened in Donegal Town in December 2017 and has consistently set itself apart with varied menus and exciting events such as their summer parties.
However, the team announced this evening that it is ceasing trade in the current location.
The reason for the closure was “due to unforeseen circumstances over the last year which have resulted in the House Gastro Pub unable to produce our brand standards going forward”, the statement said.
Customers who own gift vouchers for The House have been advised to use them this weekend or at Sixteen22 Gastro Pub in the Beech Hill Hotel Derry – the sister property owned by The House Collection hospitality group.
Despite customers being disappointed by the closure, management has promised that this is “not a goodbye” and “plans are already in motion” for a new venture.
