Blackburn Rovers are said to be plotting a move for St.Johnston man Ronan Curtis.
Curtis, currently of Portsmouth, has been setting League 1 alight this season recording an impressive 11 goals in 29 appearances. Curtis arrived at Pompey from Derry City, a move that has paid dividends for the English side who forked out £100,000 for the winger.
Curtis who played underage football with Kildrum Tigers and Swilly Rovers, is said to have impressed Rovers boss Tony Mowbray. London Born Curtis has earned 3 caps for the Republic of Ireland and a move to the Championship side will surely improve his chances of breaking into the International set up.
The 23-year-old’s two-year contract expires this summer, although the club hold the option for an additional 12 months. Portsmouth are said to have shelved contract talks till the end of the season which is believed to be the reason to Rovers sparked interest.
Portsmouth, who currently sit 7th in League 1, will be pushing to make playoff places and will likely be reluctant to let one of their best players go in their promotion bid.
