SHAUN Paul Barrett was pleased with the response of his Donegal Under-21s this afternoon.
After conceding three goals in a draw against Derry last weekend, Barrett was rather more satisfied today.
“It was nice for us to get the win,” Barrett told Ocean FM’s Conor Breslin after the game.
“We were disappointed last week against Derry, but we didn’t let Roscommon in for any goal chances. We defended quite well, so we’re happy with that.”
The Championship tie against Monaghan is coming on the horizon and that’s the big objective.
Barrett said: “We’re looking for players to put their hand up, step up and build for Monaghan.”
