LYIT got their season back on track with a solid win away to Fr Mathews in Cork today.

In their first game after the Christmas break, the Donegal outfit eventually pulled away from a stubborn home side.

This was always going to be tough with a long drive to Cork to play second-placed Fr Mathews who are having an outstanding season.

LYIT were behind 46-43 at half-time but stuck to the task in hand and eventually got on top winning on a relatively comfortable scoreline of 84 points to 73 points.

A big shout out must go to Letterkenny Blaze U17 Killian Gribben (who joined his U17 team-mate Luke Cassidy) with 16 points and a double-double in his first senior game!

The LYIT scorers were:

Dom Uhl 29
Killian Gribben 16
Manny Payton 16
Andy McGeever 10
Charlie McKinney 10
Luke Cassidy 3
